Host agency InteleTravel (No. 23 on Travel Weekly's Power List) has launched an app for its travel advisors, IntelePro, enabling them to work on the go from an Apple or Android mobile device.
IntelePro includes all the features found on InteleTravel's desktop booking engine. Advisors can use it to book flights, accommodations, rental cars and events. It offers access to reporting and itineraries.
When developing the app, the agency said it focused on "user experience, security and compliance to ensure smooth and safe transactions."
The app was developed in-house and had more than 10,000 downloads the first day it was available; by the end of July, one month after it was first available, that increased to 23,332. InteleTravel has more than 100,000 advisors.
"Our IntelePro app will allow our advisors to book travel and build their business from anywhere," InteleTravel president James Ferrara said. "As a host agency, we understand how vital visiting new places and traveling are to people, and now our advisors can do just that while still staying on top of business."
The host agency will next focus on an app for customers so they can check bookings and itineraries, InteleTravel said.
