Starting Oct. 1, all new reservations for Oceania's cruises departing in 2025 will include shipboard gratuities for stateroom attendants, butlers and dining waitstaff in the cruise fare.
Gratuities are in addition to other amenities that will be included in the cruise price: dining at all gourmet specialty restaurants; sodas, juices, specialty coffees and teas; still and sparkling Vero Water; unlimited Starlink WiFi; in-room dining; fruit smoothies, gelato and artisan ice cream; group fitness classes; and laundry services.
Starting Sept. 30, shore excursion credits and beverage packages will no longer be automatically included in the cruise fare.
Currently, gratuities are included selectively as travel partner or loyalty club amenities or for guests from certain regions of the world.
Oceania said that according to guest feedback, they preferred the inclusion of gratuities over alcoholic drinks and excursions.
Oceania said that the new inclusions represent a value of $1,800 per stateroom for a 10-day cruise.
