Six Senses plans to open a resort and branded residences in western Pennsylvania by 2028.
Located approximately 90 miles north of Pittsburgh, near the town of Foxburg, the 1,200-acre Six Senses RiverStone Estate will have 77 guestrooms and 40 residences.
Much of the property will be housed within the estate's 13,000-square-foot stone mansion, which dates back to the 1820s.
Other amenities: a 16,000-square-foot Six Senses Spa, a 4,500-square-foot fitness center and a 25-meter pool. The resort will also house an equestrian center with a 22,000-square-foot indoor riding arena and 36 stalls, offering equine therapy programs and boarding facilities for residence owners.
Restaurants will focus on local and organic produce. The resort will have a specialty restaurant, tasting bars and a pop-up experience called Orchard Alley. The resort will produce its own maple syrup, sourcing the sap from over 5,000 maple trees on the property.
The announcement comes as Six Senses plots inroads into the U.S. market. The luxury brand expects to open its first two U.S. resorts -- the Six Senses Napa and Six Senses South Carolina Islands -- in 2026, and recently unveiled plans to open a mountain resort near Telluride, Colorado in 2028.
Six Senses is part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts brand portfolio. The brand has 27 hotels and resorts worldwide.
