Following the launch of Hotel Xcaret Arte in July, Grupo Xcaret is ready to debut the next phase in its project, La Casa de la Playa. The luxury, boutique hotel is expected to open Dec. 13 within the Mayan jungle on Mexico's Caribbean coast following an investment of $85 million.
The adults-only hotel will have 63 oceanview suites, each with a private pool. Resort amenities include a spa, oceanview library, chocolate shop and several restaurants. In fact, the resort has brought in distinguished chefs to be part of its Culinary Collective. Celebrity chef Martha Ortiz will open the restaurant Tuch de Luna, while Estero will be led by another celebrity chef, Virgilio Martinez. The brothers Daniel and Patricios Rivera-Rio will open two restaurants, Lumber and Centli.
The resort will also feature the Muluk Spa, with 13 spa treatment cabins, two salt rooms, two mud rooms, hydrotherapy rituals, a beauty salon and an Alchemist's Studio, where guests can create their own scents.
As with the other Xcaret hotels, La Casa de la Playa is part of the All-Fun Inclusive experience, which features unlimited access to the theme parks underneath Grupo Xcaret's flag.
